With charming coastal décor, the vintage furniture gave a cozy feel reminiscent of a beach cottage. the gourmet breakfast buffet in the Library and Terrace overlooking the California coast was a lovely way to start the day. The partial ocean views from the Pacific Room and Terrace were spectacular, creating the perfect backdrop for relaxation. the happy hour and complimentary wine added a nice touch to the experience. the staff was excellent, always ready to assist and make our stay memorable. While the property was under construction, causing some noise throughout the day, the well-maintained courtyard and garden provided a peaceful retreat. the free shuttle service was convenient for exploring the shops and galleries in Carmel-by-the-Sea, which were within walking distance. Overall, La Playa Hotel offered a mix of history and luxury, making it an enchanting setting for a relaxing getaway. We look forward to returning and experiencing more of Carmel's unique charm with its rich history and artistic vibe.
